Started off with a Blog tutorial - Thanks David!!

Jeff – Metrics Project – No sub-meeting has occurred yet. Still collecting raw data
Waiting for final report from Eva
Nabiel – Problem with methodology CDP vs ICLI - Josh and Jeff will review
There is a possibility that we will need to track both
Eva will be publishing our 2nd Annual Sustainability Newsletter – June sometime

Transition Initiative - Presentation occurred May 6th – Moderate turn out – those who attended very much appreciated the material and how it was presented.

Will continue the speaker series – would like more lead time so we can invite more folks to these talks.
Mike will line up speakers for the following topics over the next few months:
Energy
Climate Change
Economic/Finance
Josh will look into finding a speaker for a Water discussion
Jeff will look into speakers for :
Architecture 2030
LEED

A wind technology for residential buildings presentation to City Council, Planning Commission and SCTF will occur on June 8, 2009 at 5:30 pm.

Pamela – Green Eye for the Sustainable Shy
• Molly will get recommendations of some Senior Citizens that could use an energy update for their home from a contact at Loaves and Fishes
• The participant will need to be willing to provide their energy cost data and allow us access into their home.
• Once we have a willing participant; a group of SCTF members will go into the home and determine what improvements can be made
• Acquisition of the necessary items – raid our garages, contact local retailers, etc.
• Return to the home and make improvements.
• Current members signed-on are Molly, Travis and Pamela
• Areas we would like to focus on are: Energy Conservation / Water Conservation an Trash/recycling

My notes from 4/15 SCTF Meeting

A professional will come and give a talk to City Council, Planning Commission and SCTF regarding wind technology for residential buildings soon – no date yet. The purpose is to educate decision makers. Jeff and Josh will review the presentation prior.

Waste Connections meeting – Molly met with some WM folks – All of Washougal will be going to the Big Blue Bins by this summer. They are open to working with us in community outreach type projects.

Travis London became the newest member of the SCTF to fill one of our two openings.

Transition Town – Presentation including a step by step process on how to get your town more sustainable – covers energy, climate and financial issues. Would like to have a presentation to the SCTF – Mike will set up.

Nabiel – Worms – many folks went to a worm presentation

At next meeting will start off with a blog tutorial

Jeff Cross – Project – Baseline Metrics
Measure Impacts
Quantify efforts to improve
Top 5 Metrics per Household: Water/Gas/Electric/recycle/solid waste/wastewater
Work with city and other entities to gather information
Intend to start 4/15 and end 6/30

Deliverables: Power Point presentation and calculations

Cost: Jeff, Josh, Dave, Pamela, Molly and Mike

All data needs to be from within the city limits

Nabiel – Use current #’s to publish City of Washougal Baseline performance metric 2009 report

Pamela brainstorm – Washougal home green-over – Green Eye for the Sustainable Shy
Idea was liked – need to type up a proposal….

Earth Day activity: Kerr Park 10-2 Tree planting, ivy removal, trail building – 4/18
